NPRP Grants

The following research products are required from the Lead PI through the contact PI.

  • Interim Progress Report

After the first six months of each award year, Awardee shall submit an Interim report in a template and guidelines to be provided by QNRF. This report should highlight progress made in accomplishment of the goals and objectives specified in the approved proposal, results obtained, problems or difficulties encountered, expenditures, and deviations from the original objectives of the approved proposal. The report will list all staff, with their positions, ranks, and institutional affiliations. It should also include financial expenditure reporting, using the spreadsheet file originally submitted for ease and consistency of reporting, detailing outlays by budget category and describing any significant deviations from anticipated expenditures. Payments will be tied to submittal of reports. Payments will be delayed if the Awardee fails to submit satisfactory and timely reports or if submitted reports indicate a substantial unexpended balance of grant funds on hand. Reports will be reviewed by QNRF to ensure compliance with QNRF guidelines and notify Awardee of acceptance or of deficiencies in the report no later than one calendar month from the date of receipt by QNRF.

  • Annual Progress Report

For projects of more than one year’s duration, the Awardee shall submit an Annual progress report in a template and guidelines to be provided by QNRF, one month before the end of the grant year in order for QNRF to approve the funding of the following year. This report should cover an overview of the achievements of the project in relation to the goals and objectives of the approved proposal, results obtained, problems or difficulties encountered, and deviations from the original objectives or research plan and describe desired next steps. Accomplishments include both work products, such as publications, reports, presentations, research methods, databases, patents, and licensing agreements, and outcomes, such as reductions in production costs or improvements in healthcare delivery. Reports will be reviewed by QNRF to ensure compliance with QNRF guidelines and Awardees will be notified of acceptance or deficiencies by not later than one calendar month from the date of receipt by QNRF.

  • Final Report

Within 90 days of the end of the project duration, Awardees shall submit the final report in a template and guidelines to be provided by QNRF. The Awardee is required to submit an electronic copy and two hard copies of each manuscript, publication, or other documented products resulting from the grant. Research products must be in accordance with QNRF’s Intellectual Property Policy. Reports will be reviewed by QNRF and Awardee notified of acceptance or of deficiencies within one calendar month of receipt by QNRF. QNRF acceptance of a report that has reasonably addressed all content and format requirements shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Financial Statements

QNRF reserves the right to request appropriate financial statements at any time within the duration of the award, but no more frequently than once a month and such requests will reasonably accommodate the monthly financial system computing output of Awardee.
